Tale Island helps families create personalized illustrated stories, and that only works if you can trust us with your ideas and photos. This page explains in plain words what we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is effective as of September 2026; if it changes, we will update it here.
Tale Island is a service of AMURA VENTURES SL, a Spanish company and the data controller, under the GDPR, for the personal data described on this page. For anything about this policy or your data, write to us through the contact form on the site or at hello@taleisland.com.
To create your account we ask for your name, your email address, and a password we store only as a hash — never the password itself. As you create, we store your story ideas and the stories generated from them, the photos you upload for characters, places, and objects, and the history of your coin transactions.
When you sign up we keep a hash of your IP address, which helps us prevent abuse and keep Tale Island to one account per person. And when something breaks, we record technical error diagnostics so we can fix it.
Story text and illustrations are generated by third-party AI providers, which process the inputs you give us — your ideas and the photos you upload. We send them what is needed to create the story you asked for.
Your images are stored and served by Cloudflare Images. Payments for coin packs are processed by Stripe on the web, so card data never touches Tale Island servers. We also use a transactional email service for account messages such as email verification and password resets.
We show no advertising, we use no tracking or third-party analytics, and we never sell your data. Tale Island is paid for by families buying coins, not by anyone buying your attention or your information.
Your stories belong to your family’s workspace and are private by default. Sharing a story with a public link is an explicit action you take, and you can turn the link off again whenever you want.
Tale Island uses a session cookie so you stay signed in and a locale cookie so the site remembers your language. Both are strictly functional: there are no advertising or analytics cookies.
You can ask us at any time to access or correct your data, or to delete your account and everything in it — just write to us through the contact form or at hello@taleisland.com. The GDPR protects these rights, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Tale Island accounts are for adults: a parent or guardian creates the account and manages it. Children take part in the story-making together with their parents, not on accounts of their own.
